Here's what Naomi had to say about her artwork...

"Now I'm in my seventies my craft work has become autobiographical.   My Mother Taught Me To Love Junk celebrates three generations of bric-a-brac lovers.   The green and purple colours of the oval panel indicate my mother's interest in Women's Rights.   Many of the embellishments throughout the work belonged to her, especially the buttons and brooches.  The autumn panel on the left includes a small photo of the first junk stall I ever visited as a child.   The summer panel, on the right, shows my eldest daughter and myself serving on her recent market stall."   - Naomi Hethey Lerner, August 2012
